Having a mental illness is nothing to be ashamed of. You are not alone in what you are going through and there is always light at the end of the tunnel if you seek out the right kind of help. I don't know your parents personally, so I can't definitively say how they will react, but anybody who would decide to mistreat somebody just because they are going through a hard time is a truly heartless person. You should have nothing to worry about! Any loving parent would go to hell and back to help their child through a hard time. Telling my parents about my voices was the best decision I've ever made because keeping it quiet will only make matter worse. You can't get help if none of your loving supporters are aware of your struggles. I wish you nothing but the best and I hope you find inner peace and happiness very soon!!
