I've seen a lot of those makeover shows on talk shows, and they always tick me off. I understand a mother wanting to see her daughter in a dress, but if your daughter doesn't like to wear dresses, so what? I mean, yes, if she wears baggy clothes because she's uncomfortable with her body, that should be addressed. But if she just likes them better, so what?
Those shows also include people who look out of the norm, like Goths, those who like to wear unusual makeup and colors, and others, and people always want to change them. Plus, many people (adults included) think that if you don't want to look "normal," then there's nothing wrong with making fun of you, and it's your fault that they do.
