have u talked to your doc about snickers meds? Xanax works pretty well for those spontaneous attacks, works under 30 minutes and gives you 3-4 hours of calmness . Ativan didn't do anything for me except sleep for 2 hours, trazodone does the same but gives you a really bad fog and a headache in the morning.

I had a spell like that and just laid down and just thought- it's in your head, you'll get over this, you have to get over this until I got tired and fell asleep
