I experience this all the time. I see images and colors in the darkness and shadows of things. I see ripples that go through my vision along the surface of things, much like a wave of water. I see objects breath and ooze around. I see symmetrical geometric patterned shapes tiled that moves, changes shapes and colors. When hypo, I see a vivid kaleidoscope of rainbow colors that change, especially in the darkness. The floor and walls move around. When I'm really hypo anxious, a period on a paper will grow excitedly moving hair and roam around a spot on the paper.
When it's really bad, I just sit there in a daze watching. I've tried APs and they don't work. I'm kinda used to it though. Sometimes when I'm bored, I just watch it like a free acid trip...quite the show. But for the most part, I just ignore it and pay it no mind. But every now and then it'll catch my eye.
