I totally identify...Asylum...
I had been on 40 mg. of Paxil for over three years, and realized I was apathetic to most everything and everyone, including myself! I don't care about being with anyone or doing anything. Realizing the medication was perhaps the cause of this, I have been breaking the tabs in half now for three months, and though I felt some initial anxiety, I have been fine, with no ill side-effects. I hope to go off this medication entirely with slow weaning.
I do think apathy is a side-effect of SSRI's.
