Religion is a very sensitive subject.
-Non-believers might tell you you’re suffering from hallucinations. And some may even think extreme religions are a psychotic fantasy.
-A third of Christians will probably tell you you’re gifted and if Jesus speaks to you it’s because he has important things to tell you.
-The other third of Christians will tell you Jesus doesn’t speak to us literally but 'keep on the faith pal'.
-And the other third will tell you something on the line of 'I don’t know what to think about your religious hallucinations but you should get help just in case it’s not Jesus'.
My opinion is that if you take your husband’s advice as an aggression, you’ll be less likely to view it as help or as the friendly advice it was intended. Don’t stop taking your meds just to prove a point.
