I hope your med change helps. I don't have an issue with extreme anger and being in the "red" like you do but I do go stages where the ups and downs are quite severe. Its almost I am about to spiral out of control but I am not quite "there" yet.
My best advice is to remove yourself from the situation as best you can for a while. Just be alone with yourself, breathe and come back to your center. In your solitude you may find peace. This has worked for me in some of my craziest episodes, and I hope it helps.
