It's possible that seeing a psychologist is time limited. Do you know exactly what your IEP states? Because if it just says something like 'counselor', that doesn't necessarily mean psychologist. At my school, they do a short-term therapy model, meaning that you are only allowed to see the psychologists X amount of times and then they refer you out if you need ongoing care.
