Hello Nike007: Well, I don't believe you can ever change yourself so that you no longer like food. With a few exceptions, most everyone likes food. It's what keeps us alive, & we're very good at making stuff that tastes good! I don't know how old you are, how tall you are, or how much you weigh, or your age either for that matter. So I have no idea if you're overweight. If not, then you're probably not eating too much. I remember when I was a teenager & a young man, I could eat like a horse! Now I'm older & I have to watch what I eat. I'm close to the bottom of the normal BMI range for my gender & height. I don't snack between meals & I only eat breakfast (usually a bowl of cereal with a bit of fruit) & dinner. Then I do quite often have desert because I have a sweet tooth!
I walk about 1 1/2 to 2 miles a day regardless of weather conditions, unless it's just so inclement that I just can't get out. I also weigh myself every day. I guess this is often not recommended. However, personally, I'd much rather know I need to lose 1 or 2 pounds than to only weigh myself once a week or so & find out I suddenly need to lose 10 pounds! It is the case that I feel somewhat hungry most of the time. But I've learned to just ignore this. It's just a physical phenomenon. It doesn't mean I need to eat something. So this is how I keep my weight in check. But, here again, unless you're overweight, there's no reason to do this sort of thing.
Basically, from my perspective, weight control is simply a matter of burning enough calories to balance out what you've taken in. So if you need to lose weight, it's just a matter of either decreasing the amount of food you eat, or increasing your physical activity. Assuming you don't have an eating disorder, it's as simple as that. Of course, if you do have an eating disorder, then there are programs designed to treat these & perhaps this is something you should be looking into.
