This is just my opinion on this, but>>>>I look at marriage as a partnership.....that unconditional love has to come from both parties in the marriage if is exists at all. It can't be one sided. One person can't just do what they want & disrespect the other & expect unconditional love from that person because they are married to them. Respect & love come hand in hand.
From some of your words, I am wondering if he loves you unconditionally? The unconditional love that God talks about is in an ideal marriage & it seems that those don't exist these days. Some people think that if the other person will love them no matter what they do, then they can do whatever they want & still have that love no matter what. That isn't the marriage that God is talking about in my opinion. I feel that God can see & knows what is going on in each marriage & knows whether that unconditional love is appropriate or not. I am sure there are other interpretations.....& as far as my knowledge, the only thing in a marriage that would be a sin is being unfaithful......the rest is ideal guidelines that God gives us for how a marriage should be.
Just my opinion after 32 years of marriage & growing up in a christian family,
Debbie
