My husband takes 50mg of Seroquel. It knocks him out in about an hour. He's been on it for a year, so if he's lucky he can fight it for 2 hours. He usually sleeps about 8 hours or more. Also, very few people suffer from coughing as a side effect. He coughs a lot. His t said he could lower the dose to see if it was the Seroquel causing it, but we're not taking that chance. I think she said about 10-20% of Seroquel users experience coughing as a side effect. Also, sometime he gets hand tremors. Nothing major and they go away after a while.
