There are many things and situations that could be impacting your interest.

Talk to your doctor x123. There could be a reason, possibly serious. There coould be a very simple solution.

I'm no expert but 50 is an age that both men and women seriously take a look at and evaluate their lives. In most cases we are not very kind to ourselves. It doesn't help either that our bodies seem to change almost overnight.

My libido is directly related to my self esteem and positivity.
Thanks, @rcat I have been going downhill drastically in the last six months for some reason. I had food poisoning or something at that time, and since that time I haven't been able to eat things that I used to eat such as nuts, corn, wheat. (Wheat has always bothered me a little bit, but now I can't touch it without getting sick.) I am also in the middle of remodeling a storage room in a warehouse where I will eventually live. My belongings are scattered, and I've been sleeping on a cot that hurts my back and knees. It's like everything in my life is difficult right now, and I'm too depressed and exhausted to make it better. I can barely due the basics of life like shaving, because I'm so depressed and tired.

A worrisome thing is that my short-term memory is going. I send text messages to my email as reminders. Like I might say "buy cat food". About 3 times over the past month I have noticed that I send the same reminder twice about 5 minutes apart. The messages are worded differently, so I know that I actually sent it twice. The last time this happened, I wondered if I was doing it twice, but I couldn't remember doing it. Sure enough, I had done it twice. That makes me wonder about Alzheimer's. Hopefully it is simply that my sleep is not very good quality and I'm tired. IDK

I have an appointment with a "functional medicine" doctor scheduled just before Christmas. Supposedly functional medicine is more concerned about how everything connects so that the root causes can be treated. Also functional medicine is less dismissive when patients complain about minor things. I don't know if functional medicine is helpful, because I haven't tried it. It will only cost me $40 copay, but I have heard that sometimes the extra tests are not covered by insurance. I might not be able to afford to do more than the initial office visit.
