I'm sure most of you have heard the saying, "Wherever you go, there you are." I've spent most of my life here in the south. Around 16, I decided I was going to leave someday. That someday never came. I fact, I live file miles down the street from where I grew up. I'm in my 30s now and still dream of getting away. I was hoping someday this feeling would fade. But it's only gotten stronger. I find it sad that I can't seem to build a life for myself in the city where I grew up.
I can't seem to find where I belong and I'm hoping a change of scenery will help. I want to know, has anyone actually moved to a different place and seen some improvement in their lives? Ideally, I should probably tackle my issues because I'm sure they'll follow me but I'm curious to hear others' perspectives.
