As you know, I just returned from a week in NM mountains. The Philmont Scout Ranch is 138,437 some odd acres of land...and every inch beautiful. Deer roam through the established training center at various times (always at night in the campsites where the apple trees are

)
It seems that they only have one wheelchaired person every two weeks or so...and no one who did it alone and with such gumption as me from what I hear. Well...after my leg injury (lol due to not enough room in my tent and the nurse had the director remove the extra bed) I offered to create a pamphlet for the Center about coming to the training center even if you're handicapped (notes for the physically challenged.) I figure that if at least someone who is challenged knows what compensating needs to be done, then more will come! Well, they accepted my offer, and I'm all but done with the pamphlet. Of course it has to go through (go figure) Risk Management (that's the area I volunteer in lol) and be revised (I added some things that the director will know to correct so no one has to compensate

) but it will go out in the packets for next year's participants.
Now how's that for making pie out of squash ..er whatever it is
