I was really worried about telling my psychologist about my OCD. I DID self diagnose, because it felt like an absolute match. So the first day, I told him I thought I had it and it went from there. I was nervous too, but I think he was pretty receptive to the fact that I understood my own issue. From there we worked on it.

I'm seeing a psychiatrist now, and for whatever reason I didn't talk about the OCD from day one. I just kind of talked about the anxiety part of it. I just recently mentioned I was getting stressed specifically from the OCD. He was sort of surprised I didn't talk about it before but it really wasn't a big deal.

If you need to talk about it. If you think talking about it/ working through it will help you -- Go for it. Get it off your chest. One less thing to stress about.
