CherryBerry - a really good place to start is your family doctor. In Canada you have the right to make appointments and your own medical decisions at 14. I'm guessing you are older. If need be, pester that counselor until she helps by making an appointment for you. Your doctor can make an assessment (is this Depression or do you need a referral to psychiatric services?)

Alberta has very good walk in medical clinics if this is a route you would prefer. Also, Edmonton and Calgary have walk-in mental health clinics that can set you up with psychiatric services. They are free in Canada.

Do a google search 'walk in mental health clinic Calgary/Edmonton' etc. I just did that and found resources in other communities too.

The key point I want to make is to find yourself some help, whether you can go through your family or otherwise. Great luck!
Thanks for this!
