So about a month ago I thought I had the stomach flu. It was very bad for a week, then I got better but it never really went away. I was also sort of sick on and off for months beforehand. Because I have a very long history of psychosomatic stuff and had been extremely anxious, I convinced myself it was all due to stress or, as my Dr. suggested, maybe IBS. But I just felt off, very tired, and lost a bunch of weight really quickly. Went back to doctor after a month of feeling like garbage and she ordered some tests. Found a lot of white blood cells in stool sample (gross, sorry). Wasn't scared until the culture came back negative for bacteria. The only other options are 1 kind of parasite or one of my absolute worst nightmares - Crohn's Disease / Ulcerative Colitis. I should find out the results re: parasite tomorrow, but I'm bracing myself for the worst case scenario, since both of my doctors seem to think it's pretty possible.

I've had a vomit phobia my whole life and this would just be really really hard to come to terms with. I'm so scared I can't think about anything else. I've scoured the internet searching for other possibilities - food allergies, viruses etc. - and can't find anything!!!

Anyway, just needed to vent some

***on an interesting side note, I googled "bipolar and Crohn's" and there is a lot of research on how they might be related
