Alberta has very good walk in medical clinics if this is a route you would prefer. Also, Edmonton and Calgary have walk-in mental health clinics that can set you up with psychiatric services. They are free in Canada.
Do a google search 'walk in mental health clinic Calgary/Edmonton' etc. I just did that and found resources in other communities too.
The key point I want to make is to find yourself some help, whether you can go through your family or otherwise. Great luck!

Thank you for the suggestion of seeing my family doctor. I really hadn't thought of that before. It would be incredibly hard to see him since he's always busy, and he mentioned earlier in the year, when I had been prescribed pills for anxiety attacks, that he was against giving me any sort of medication for mental disorders, diagnosed or not. I really appreciate the ideas you suggested, thank you!
