I'm going to address the job thing because it sounds like this may be the root of several of your problems (though not the meds). I searched for jobs relatively recently, so I hope I can give some good advice.

I saw you posted in another thread that you were stuck doing filing at your last job. I have been stuck in boring jobs like that too - jobs where I wasn't doing anything I was interested in or developing skills useful for my field. The one positive that is hard to appreciate is that ANY job is experience you can put on your resume. There are ways you can play stuff up to show potential employers that seemingly unimpressive skills are transferable to other jobs.

Some other things I found useful:
-As Crypts said, try to apply for unemployment. It's not enough to live on and only lasts for a little while, but any money is money.
-Consider looking for places to volunteer. This may give you a better chance to do something related to your field since it's not competitive in the way jobs are. It will also get you experience to put on your resume and help you gain skills to be successful at a new job. Furthermore, employers like to see that you have been doing something with all the free time you have while unemployed.
-I feel like maybe people don't think career fairs will ever pan out, but I think they're great. Employers at job fairs tend to have many open positions, meaning your chances are better. In addition, it's good to talk to representatives of companies that are even just mildly related to your interests because you might find out about a position you would have never considered. This happened to me. Even if it's not super appealing, if it gives you a chance to develop even ONE skill that applies to your field, this can help you when applying to other jobs in the future. It worked for me, so it can work for others too!

I know a lot of this is difficult because of the car troubles. I hope you can find ways to work around it. Sending positive vibes to you!!
Thanks for this!
