The only way I got sober was when I knew it had me not the other way around. I had to be at my lowest with no hope for recovery. Not everyone has to be like I was. But one does need to become completely honest with themselves. Meaning one is an alcoholic and can't control it. It controls us. If you're sick and tired of being sick and tired you're ready. It's the first drink that gets us drunk. Not the 1000th. Find a support system like AA, go everyday, listen, don't drink, call someone if you're thinking about drinking, or go to another meeting and talk about wanting to drink.and lastly DONT DRINK.
