Hi, I know what you mean about anxiety about doing things. Double checking is not bad. It is when it keeps happening and happening 5 or 10 times that it begins to disrupt our lives (OCD).
I think it is difficult to diagnose in the room with a professional so I avoid trying to diagnose the illness. Also many disorders have overlapping symptoms.
The Anxiety Chat is 8PM EST on Friday. Depression Chat is 9PM Thursday. Either group is a supportive environment.

I don't have manic episodes, I don't believe. I know bipolar you reach extremes, that last hours or days and my issue is never really extreme. And the time frames are shorter. Does this make any sense or does someone else have this issue?
Also I noticed I second guess myself more than usual. Example I usually check my hair straightener is off 3 or 4 times and say it outloud. Now as I leave the kitchen I think did I close the fridge good, turn around to walk back and check. Same thing with my car door, if it pops in my head I have to go check.
This probably has nothing to do with anything but maybe you have some insight.
Thanks for your time.
