Hello!

My suggestion is to talk to your ob/gyn about this. With my second pregnancy I ended up having a lot of emotional problems, severe ones. In my situation my doctor and I determined it was in my best interest to go on the most pregnancy-safe med possible to help me with depression. Some meds are safer for the baby than others and you'll definitely want to talk about what the effects are on the baby now and when the baby is born (such as asking your doctor if your baby will go through withdrawal after it's born if you are on the meds while you're pregnant).

Based on your personal situation your doctor is the best to be able to help you identify whether your problems are more likely caused by depression or your situation or something else. It definitely sounds like your situation is not ideal and yes pregnancy hormones make everything a lot more difficult.

I agree - you definitely could use a lot more support. It doesn't sound like there's any chance it will come from your boyfriend so try to come up with some other people who might be able to provide you the support you need.

Good luck!
