Honestly sounds like your psychiatrist doesn't know what he's doing. It's pretty ridiculous that your mixed/mania symptoms got worse on an anti-depressant, which is a major indicator of bipolar disorder, and he just gave you more anti-depressants and told you that mixed/manic symptoms were a normal effect of anti-depressants. I mean seriously it sounds like he doesn't have a clue what he is doing. If you are able, I would advise finding a new psychiatrist.
