Btw, I know what parents like that are like to deal with. My mum was, and dad still is. Always bring to have their says in my finances. Doesn't matter that I'm 29 with kids of my own. They still consider me a financially illiterate child because I'm not a thriving businesswoman with a mortgage etc. Last time I called my dad I even heard him say to my step mum that he bets I want money. And yet he wonders why i don't call that often. You're so so not alone Aviza. Focus your energy on small goals. I have a habit of hiding spare notes tbh. If it's your goal to leave, work on the small goals that are more attainable, an NFF make leaving more easily achievable. I hope this helps even a little. *hugs*
