Took my first 20mg dose of citalopram last night. I instantly felt all tingly, and my tongue felt numb...i haven't eaten since yesterday early evening- i feel sort of sick. I had very disturbed sleep although i didn't feel rough when i had to get up for work.

I still feel sick, don't have any desire to eat, and my head feels dizzy.

Will it wear off for my next dose tonight or will i always feel like this? Do you begin to feel normal with time, or every time i take a dose will i feel like this again? Last night i felt like i had a hangover, really bad headachey...and i still feel like i'm coming down off something...all very strange.

I haven't discussed with my partner about feeling so weird because he doesn't want me to take them because of my overdose shortly after my dosage was increased when i was on Effexor.. he thinks they're all the same and is worried that i'll react the same as when i was on Effexor... Doc says this is totally different though and promised me i'll feel better in four weeks...

Has anyone else felt this weird? I don't mind any funny feelings on Effexor, i can't remember feeling different at all...

Reading online it seems like dizzyness and nausea and odd sleeping patterns are common for this drug- should i go back to Doc?
