When I was experiencing a period of high stress and depression, I wasn't getting as much sleep as I should be, and when I did, I was having vivid nightmarish dreams. During this time I too was dreaming that someone was in my room, and I was half asleep half awake at the time, and I tried to call out, 'go away' 'leave me alone' but no words would come out, and I was also trying to open my eyes, make my body move so I could kick him off me, but I couldn't I was like a dead weight, frozen, unable to scream and unable to move - and then I'd wake up properly, and see that I was only dreaming, but it didn't feel like a dream, it felt more like I was awake in my mind, but my body was still asleep.

This has happened quite a lot, but not so much anymore, but i'll probably experience it again, as it has happened on quite a few separate occasions over the years, I now have my house rabbit sleep in the same bedroom as me, and haven't had these kind of experiences since.
