Hi Everyone,
I suppose this post is a result of working all day yesterday on the psych unit.

Our patients were psychotic, schiz, passive, combative, catatonic, depressed, manic, etc. One or all of the type of illness we may have experienced in OUR lives.

For being able to sit up, use a keyboard and a computer, communicate with others, eat, drink and take care of ourselves after what we've been through, WE ALL DESERVE MEDALS OF HONOR!!!

We are brave and courageous and have learned compassion the hard way. We take a little less, give a little more, have a lot more patience and are generally much kinder people for our experiences with ill mental health.

My hat is off to you all. Go look in the mirror and realize where you've been and where you are now.

I love you, and respect you, and pray for you every day. For all of us.
Best,
Okie
