Hello. I was wondering if the sun lamp has really helped people on here. Today, my family and I went to Costco, which is a wholesaler store here in Canada, and they have it in the States too. You need a membership to shop there. Anyways, while my mom was getting her prescription (which turned out to be the wrong prescription!), I saw a sun lamp. I think it was called light box or something like that. It was this box, and there were two different settings for it: one or two. Anyways, it was $55 there, so I asked my mom if I could get it. She said do some research on it or what not. I am not sure if I should tell my pdoc about how depressed I get in the winter, but I think I will. I have been getting like this for the last 2 years or so. I feel myself starting to slip. That's not the point of this post. Has sun lamp really helped with your mood? Has it made you happier per se? I don't want to buy it and then it does nothing for me. I have been taking vitamin D pills lately, and my mom would be more impressed if I did stuff that is natural than medical drugs (I am on an SSRI for anxiety, but hasn't done anything for depression from what I have noticed). Sun lamp? Yes or no. Thanks for your response
