I understand your quandry. I use to be in administration, secretarial, operator, switch board, etc. etc. I often felt like a labotimized monkey chained to the keyboard. And i can say, you are bored because you are intelligent. Weigh out your options carefully. Have you thought of maybe keeping the same good job that pays well and having a hobby outside in the wilderness? Like a hiking club or something like that. It is often through a hobby that we find our forte for a new career. Don't jump into something else for just a change, do it for the passion of something you would enjoy. In the meantime being outside of a building in nature will stimulate you enough to take the edge off of being inside for 40+ hrs. That is how i managed.
