When I first started Lexapro (citalopram is the generic) I had similar symptoms. They abated in a few days. . .I think about four or five. The biggest problem I had was the naseua. . .felt like morning sickness. What I did was hold off taking it until I had eaten. . .that helped considerably. Give it some time. . .if your symptoms are no better in a week, give the doc a call. Lexapro is MUCH better than celexa (escitalopram) because the base of the drug is different and has fewer side effects.
