Well, I wished No. 2 a good holiday, as I would any acquaintance. I might wish No. 1 the same this week, if she manages not to annoy me. (Always a dicey proposition.)

But I wasn't planning on thanking either of them for anything. I guess I'm just puzzled by the question.
