Thanks LMo! I love this question because often pharmacists laugh, like the one the other day, and said he wasn't really sure "because of the way it absorbs even though it's not extended release" and that even if I called the manufacturer they'd tell me they don't know either!

I took Accutane many years ago and it's a gelatin capsule filled with liqiud, I called that drug co. and asked if I could just put the capsule in my mouth with milk and bite down on it chew it up then spit the capsule out! Guess what they said? "I don't know, that's a good question!" I just felt safer doing it with that than something like this without getting a definite "yes" first. Lord knows we crush everything and put it through a PEG tube with people in the hospital when they can't swallow, and I crush almost everything else so I'll give it a whirl.
