Hi Montanakid! Welcome to PC!
Anxiety and depression can be terrible to deal with, but you are showing strength by coming here and posting about it. You've also demonstrated strength by getting prescriptions to help, picking them up, taking them, and having hope that they may help.
These feelings can be difficult to sort out, so I want to encourage you to have patience with yourself. That's an incredible gift to give yourself and you won't regret it when it comes to facing your anxiety and depression.
As far as what you're feeling now, I think it could definitely be part of anxiety. It could also be part of depression. And some of your feelings could also be temporary side effects of starting to take meds. Often they'll go away if they are side effects, so that's where patience comes in. If they're part of depression and anxiety, they'll likely go away for a time and may come back, as you might have realized if you've been dealing with this for 6 years. That can cause fear sometimes, so I'd encourage you to accept the fear yet not dwell on it. If you think about it too much, it will burrow into your brain and be harder to get rid of. But at the same time, denying that you have the fear won't help either.
Anxiety is a nasty beast in that it can show up even if your life seems perfect! It doesn't need a reason to torment you. Feeling lost and like you have no interest in things like hobbies is a part of depression that can really hurt too. Keep taking small steps to take care of yourself. If you don't meditate, you may want to check out calm.com or another resource and see if it helps. Even a few minutes a day can reinforce to yourself that you are enough and that you matter to the world.
Do you have people in your life that you can reach out to? If not, remember that being around people when you feel bad can seem impossible, but sometimes it can help if those people are supportive. Come back here and update us on how you're doing. You matter to us and we want to be supportive to you.
