Lithium didn't effect me like that but my friend who was on it was a total mess. If I hadn't known her, I'd say she was high. She would take really slow, never understood what people were saying to her. She was just out of it. If your side effects are bothersome, you can always try a different stabilizer. I'm on trileptal now and I love it. I never "feel" different on it. But for the first time in a long time I feel normal. Hopefully your pdoc can help you!
