Hi Nike.
I always strived to excel at school...a welcome distraction from the turmoil in my life. However there were times when stuff would get on top of me and become overwhelming. School work needs to become habit...like setting aside certain times to study and complete projects...being very organised sure helps.
I would also suggest speaking to your teacher and explaining that you feel you have dropped the ball in certain areas, but have a desire to do well...Your teacher will certainly be more than happy to help you with organising your time and motivating you.
Doing well in your favourite subjects will also go a long way to building your self esteem and combatting some of your depression symptoms too I feel.
Above all...be kind to yourself Nike.
