I remmber having a pink puffy plastic lunch box at one time, but I don't remember what the picture on the front was, ballerinas maybe? I still have my Flintstones lunch box. I don't know when I carried it. Maybe third grade? I also don't know why I kept it, but it is in the basement with the rest of my saved junk.
I always packed a lunch. I was scared to death to buy. afraid I woul do or say the wrong thing. My parents thougfht lunchmeat was the healthier food so I had a lebonon bologna and cheese sandwich every day for nearly 13 years! On friday I was allowed to have a cream cheese and Jelly or a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. I opted for cream cheese most of the time. In high school I either ate 4 cubes of happy cow cheese or a cup of canned chocolate pudding. No wonder I was so skinny!
I remember having a hard time not breaking my thermos all the time. This was back when thermos bottles were glass. I would drop the box and crash! Also I had a hard time puting the lid back on correctly and the mean kindergarten teacher would follow me all the way back to my first grade classroom and yell at me. I was so timid I would hide in the cloak room. My brother would come to my rescue and clean up the drips. Man, She was a mean old woman! Mrs Beaver! Nasty old coot!
