I never did Black Friday but ended up going out to shop at 5:30 a.m. at Target because I was awake, so why not shop? Despite being open all night there was only about two or three other shoppers there, which really surprised me. Everything was very perfectly stacked on the shelves and it didn't look like there had been many shoppers out. I got the perfect CrockPot for my son. I wanted one that was programmable. The programmable ones are usually expensive but I found one at about 33% discounted. I got a robe and slippers, both 50% discounted. At another store I got angora yarn for a knitting project at 40% discount. I was finished shopping by 7 a.m., and there were no crowds, it was like shopping in a ghost town. I had a Starbucks Christmas coffee, and that was it. I also got a bunch of stuff to make up a Christmas box to send my best friend. I don't think shopping on Black Friday is for greedy customers. Why not take advantage of deep discounts? As well, there were no crowds, so shopping was really easy and enjoyable. I have often been a last minute shopper and it was very stressful, and with less merchandise to chose from, and no discounts. I will be doing Black Friday next year.
