It used to be possible to print authentic looking insurance certificates that would fool a policeman. Nobody would know until a wreck happened and the at-fault motorist would have no insurance to pay for repairs.

I agree about the Big Brother problem. Sometimes I have wished the IRS would simply figure my income taxes for me, but then I think about the dreadful errors that might happen and the nightmare of dealing with IRS "customer service" LOL

You are definitely right, @George H. I just don't know how to escape Big Brother.
