I agree with lowinmood. However, if you are being affected in your daily life, getting a diagnosis will not solve your problems. It does however, make you realise what is the ROOT of your 'problems'.
For me, knowing that I am unforgetful not because I don't care enough, or that I have a bad memory, helps. Because for years all I was trying to do is to practise and learn how to 'increase' my memory capacity. But to understand that it is due to other factors allowed me to (hopefully) re-direct my energy towards that instaed.
