To take it a little easier on your system, you could try subtracting before adding. Subtracting coffee, that is. Maybe try tea? I get not getting energized by the adderall, I don't either. Yet I can't handle much coffee anymore (I went a few months without, and when I had it again, it was too much). One thing I have found though-- though the adderall doesn't energize me, if I've taken a dose and go too long without eating, I can get anxiety through the roof! I don't handle the blood sugar thing well at ALL (medications or no). Might be worth watching for a potential connection there. You can "chart" your anxiety and see if there are any similar patterns.

Potentially interesting note... My BF also takes adderall. It doesn't energize him either. So he drinks a fair bit of coffee. He has big anxiety problems. He's convinced they're not related. I'm convinced that -- though it may not eliminate the anxiety, it sure wouldn't hurt(!)

Oh! P. S. The thing I find energizes me best and most consistently is getting into motion.
Thanks for this!
