here in the USA there is no standard recommendation of how often a person must be in therapy (unless of course a person is court mandated, in which case the court sets the standards based on that persons reason for being before the court)

short version here in the USA everyone is in treatment based upon what their own problems require, some are in therapy once a week some twice a week, some monthly, some every 6 months, some yearly. and yes some people go more often if they are in treatment programs like partial (half day at a treatment facility working on many areas /many issues) others need inpatient care because they need more treatment than out patient can offer them.

my suggestion is contact your treatment provider, they will help you to develop your treatment plans that best fits you, including how often you are in therapy sessions.
