Well, I know in terms of brain waves that they both have an instability for what type of brain wave is being produced. Like, without going into much science, there are three bands of beta waves: low beta, beta, and hi-beta. An instability in those waves would really mess with you. Naturally lower waves is found in ADHD, some types of depression, and insomnia, while higher waves are found in other types of depression and anxiety. I'm not sure about the neurotransmitters at all though...
