I have to click the lock button on my car three times. I've been doing it since I've been driving.
My new car has an electronic start though which gets activated by pressing the lock button three times and THEN the electronic start button. So now I'm always stressed out I'm going to accidentally hit that electronic start button, not realize it, walk away and then someone is gonna think I left my keys in it running and break my window - which I know is completely irrational because there is NO WAY I wouldn't realize I pushed that button on accident. And anyway, no one can actually steal my car when it's in that mode... no comfort in that fact.
I also think I might me pissing off the neighbors with the triple lock because it honks each time I push it. So when I do a lot of grocery shopping I lock the car in between trips to the house, so I might click it up to 15 times within 5 minutes. Every time I walk away, under my breath I whisper a little "sorry everyone", you know JUST IN CASE someone is listening and wants an apology.
I'm actually laughing hysterically as I type all this. It's absolutely ridiculous.
But truly it really sucks each time I gotta go through it.
