I agree with RxQueen875, when someone is there for you and taking care of you, it's easy to develop feelings for them. Even if the feelings are returned I doubt he could act on them. Where I work, there's a rule that you can't even be friends with people who you've treated within the last two years. Whether or not you can ever have a relationship beyond patient/staff varies depending on the discipline. Nursing may have ethical guidelines, I know for therapists they are never supposed to be friends or romantically involved regardless of how much time has passed.
