Okie, I don't see why that couldn't also happen. While on ambien, I thought about various ways to keep myself safer, but when it came right down to it, just because I wasn't remembering, or in real control (mental processes) while on ambien, I still was me and knew where I "locked up" or hid keys, meds etc. If you are having difficulty with the med, it's best to try a different one.
