When I did a quick google search I ended up on the drugs.com website and it read the following:

"Using divalproex sodium(depakote) together with ethanol(alcohol) can increase nervous system side effects such as dizziness, drowsiness, and difficulty concentrating. Some people may also experience impairment in thinking and judgment."

AND,

"GENERALLY AVOID: Alcohol may potentiate some of the pharmacologic effects of CNS-active agents. Use in combination may result in additive central nervous system depression and/or impairment of judgment, thinking, and psychomotor skills."

Hope this helps in anyway.
