Nobody has said meds are the answer, much less that they will give her a perfect daughter. But she needs constructive advice, specific things to research or try that are things she hasn't attempted already.

We can't know her daughter, just like we can't know one another. We have to take her word that her daughter has bipolar and that the assessments were well-done, just the same as we have to do for one another. I imagine that there are people on this board who are diagnosed with bipolar who don't have it. In fact we had a woman on here not long ago who was diagnosed and further follow-up showed it was an error. I'm sure there are others. But for now each of us is diagnosed with bipolar and we just have to trust each other that this is our issue (for all we know some of us could have no diagnosis at all but enjoy stirring up trouble or something so participate in this board) and that we are doing what we say we are doing. I don't see a difference with trusting this mother to report what she is doing and what hasn't worked.
