It's ok to write negative emotions down to "get it out of your system" but I find keeping those notes will only bring back sadness & grief. Jot down things like, "I'm feeling depressed today" or "I'm not having a good day" to help you keep track of your moods. But if you put intense negative emotions in writing, it is important to dispose of it, or better yet, burn it. This signifies that you have fully released all those negative emotions. It is unhealthy to keep those notes around. I hope this helps.
