I remember having a rash while on lamictal but my pdoc didn't freak out about it. He looked at it and felt pretty confident it was a rash due to something like allergy/heat, etc. Nothing at all related to SJS. He was right and all was fine.
You might think about if you've changed detergents lately, eaten something different than usual, been sweating more for some reason, exposed to an animal that you might be reacting to. Rashes can come from many sources. Is it getting any better? Any worse? Have you tried a bit of benadryl to see if that eases it up a bit?
You are right, the SJS rash is pretty intense and awful, and fortunately rare. They do have to be cautious though. Keep an eye on it and definitely report back to your doctor if it gets at all worse.
