Hello Namelessness: Many years ago now I worked nights, although I didn't typically work 12 hours per shift. Personally, I'm sort-of a night person. So I actually liked working nights. But then I was allot younger then too. I do think working nights takes getting used to. And then working 12 hour shifts would be all the more of a challenge. I don't envy you. I've read that people who work nights tend to have more health-related problems as well. I won't offer any suggestion here since I presume you are aware of the various things that are suggested to counteract insomnia. My best wishes to you...
